Commemorating the Legacy of Service at the Woden RSL

The Woden Valley RSL has been awarded a $10,000 grant to create an immersive and interactive experience at the Veterans Support Centre as part of the Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program.
The 2024-25 Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program is providing seventy-seven community groups, schools, local governments and ex-service organisations around the country will share in some $1.41 million
The Veterans Support Centre at the Woden Valley RSL already provides pension/compensation, advocacy and welfare services to veterans in our community.
Each year, more than 20 trained and experienced volunteer advocates assist around 450 veterans and serving ADF personnel to prepare and submit claims and appeals under the various Veterans' Entitlements Acts.
This grant will allow the Veterans Support Centre to highlight contemporary service personnel and their experiences, fostering inclusivity and understanding.
The Albanese government is backing the Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program to ensure our community can commemorate our military history and ensure the legacy of Australia’s veterans is preserved for generations to come.
The Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program is an ongoing program that promotes greater understanding of the role of service personnel and their experience of service.
