Bean local schools to receive funding for school upgrades and new equipment

Today I am announcing that seven local schools will benefit from a share of $32 million in grants to upgrade school infrastructure and equipment.
The following local schools in Bean will benefit from this latest round of funding:
- Duffy Primary School: for door and window upgrades to improve airflow as well as maintenance to school facilities;
- Farrer Primary School: Building new outdoor learning spaces;
- Isabella Plains Early Childhood School: Upgrading ventilation in school facilities and fixing doors or windows where this aids in airflow;
- Bonython Primary School: Building new outdoor learning areas;
- St Thomas the Apostle Primary School : Installing and/or upgrading shade structures;
- St Anthony's Parish School: Installing and/or upgrading shade structures; and
- Marist College Canberra: Building new outdoor learning spaces.
The funding is part of a $250 million commitment to improve school infrastructure.
All schools across the country were invited to apply for the funding and projects were assessed by the Department of Education and selected based on need.
Schools were able to apply for grants of up to $25,000 to support much needed improvements to facilities and learning environments.
The Albanese Labor Government is delivering on our promise to invest in our schools and there is more to come.
