Labor has recently announced its Powering Australia plan. It is a plan to tackle climate change through creating jobs, cutting power bills and reducing emissions by boosting renewable energy.

Canberra is one of the most progressive places in the world. We lead on vaccines, climate change and marriage equality. We might be a small jurisdiction, but with an Albanese Labor government we will finally be able to take real action on climate change.

This plan will bring cheaper renewable energy to Australian homes and businesses. Labor’s plan is backed by businesses, unions and community groups.

Our plan will create 604,000 jobs, with 5 out of 6 new jobs to be created in the regions. It will spur $76 billion of investment. Canberrans want to embrace a clean future and the only thing stopping us is the Liberals and Barnaby Joyce.

It will cut power bills for families and businesses by $275 a year for homes by 2025, compared to today.
