Now’s their chance to shine.

One student from each federal electorate across Australia will be selected to take part in an immersive five-day experience in at Australian Parliament House as part of the 2026 National Youth Parliament.

This exciting program gives ‘Youth Members’ the opportunity to:

• Explore the role of a Member of Parliament.
• Learn how bills are drafted, debated and passed.
• Engage with parliamentary processes in a hands-on way.

Young people who will be aged 16 or 17 in August 2026 are encouraged to submit an EOI at National Youth Parliament.

No prior political experience is required – just curiosity, commitment, and a desire to learn.
